The main incentives available in Italy and in Piedmont, Lombardy, Lazio, Veneto, Liguria and Aosta Valley for investing in cybersecurity, cloud, networks and software, and what ALAconnect can deliver using them.

Grants and funding

How to use 2026 grants to secure and digitalise your company

In 2026 Italian SMEs can reduce the cost of firewalls, backup, cloud, software and digital consulting through four types of instruments: non-repayable vouchers, enhanced tax deductions, interest subsidies on loans and subsidised regional financing. ALAconnect helps companies choose the right grant, designs the technical project, delivers it and prepares the technical documentation needed for reporting.

This page covers the national measures and those of the Piedmont, Lombardy, Lazio, Veneto, Liguria and Aosta Valley regions most relevant to cybersecurity, cloud and IT infrastructure projects. It is for information only: requirements, amounts and deadlines must always be checked against the official call text, and tax aspects should be assessed with your accountant.

National grants

2026 national incentives for cybersecurity and digitalisation

Measures valid throughout Italy, combinable within the limits set by each call.

01

Cloud & Cybersecurity Voucher (MIMIT)

A non-repayable grant from the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy for SMEs and self-employed professionals: 50% of costs, with a minimum spend of €4,000 and a maximum grant of €20,000, under the de minimis regime. The budget is €150 million. Pre-filling opens at 12:00 on 20 October 2026 and applications run from 12:00 on 10 November 2026 to 12:00 on 20 January 2027, in chronological order. A connection of at least 30 Mbps and purchases from suppliers on the ministerial list are required.

With ALAconnect: risk analysis and a spending plan covering next-generation firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM, cloud backup and disaster recovery, plus checks on connectivity and supplier requirements before applying.

02

Hyper-depreciation 2026-2028

Introduced by the 2026 Budget Law (Law 199/2025), it replaces the Transizione 4.0 and 5.0 tax credits. For investments made from 1 January 2026 to 30 September 2028 it allows companies to deduct an increased cost, up to 180% in brackets, for interconnected 4.0 tangible and intangible assets, including cybersecurity solutions for IT and OT networks. Services bought only as SaaS subscriptions must be assessed case by case.

With ALAconnect: selection of eligible hardware and software, interconnection with company systems, technical documentation and support to the professional preparing the required appraisal.

03

Nuova Sabatini

A MIMIT subsidy on the interest of bank loans or leases from €20,000 to €4 million for new capital goods, hardware, software and digital technologies for SMEs. The 2026 Budget Law refinanced it with €650 million: 200 for 2026 and 450 for 2027. It can be combined with hyper-depreciation.

With ALAconnect: larger infrastructure projects such as servers, storage, networks and workstations, with structured quotes for the bank or leasing application.

04

Chamber of Commerce vouchers (PID)

Through the Punto Impresa Digitale network, Chambers of Commerce publish local voucher calls for digital technologies, cybersecurity, consulting and training, with non-repayable grants usually between 50% and 70%. Amounts and deadlines vary from Chamber to Chamber.

With ALAconnect: identification of your Chamber's call, an initial digital assessment and a project combining technology, consulting and training in the required proportions.

05

SIMEST AI & Quantum Computing Investments

Since 21 September 2026 SIMEST has made €200 million from Fund 394/81 available for programmes fully dedicated to artificial intelligence and quantum computing: cloud and computing infrastructure, AI software and platforms, integration with ERP and CRM, data management, cybersecurity, AI Act compliance and training. It combines a subsidised loan of up to 8 years with a non-repayable share of up to 10% (maximum €100,000, de minimis) and an advance of up to 50%. Exports must account for at least 3% of turnover; support ranges from €10,000 to €500,000 for micro companies and up to €2.5 million for SMEs.

With ALAconnect: cloud infrastructure and security for AI projects, integration with company systems and the cybersecurity and governance measures required by the AI Act.

Piedmont Region

2026 Piedmont grants for digitalisation and cybersecurity

Two instruments of the 2021-2027 ERDF regional programme: one for smaller investments, one for structured projects.

01

SME Digitalisation Voucher 2026

Promoted by the Piedmont Region and the Piedmont Chambers of Commerce, now in its third edition, with €19.2 million. It funds, with non-repayable grants from 50% to 70%, the adoption of digital technologies, the purchase of digital goods and services, specialist consulting and training. It targets smaller investments. Applications are submitted on the Restart platform from 11:00 on 22 October to 16:00 on 15 December 2026, with a ranking: the pre-loading date gives no priority.

With ALAconnect: packages for micro and small companies in VCO, Novara and across Piedmont, such as managed firewall, backup, secure Microsoft 365 and staff training on cyber risks.

02

Digitalisation and production efficiency 2026 (Line A)

A measure managed by Finpiemonte for SMEs with an active production process and an operating site in Piedmont. It funds investments from €50,000 (micro and small) or €100,000 (medium) up to €3 million in digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP, MES, CRM and artificial intelligence. It covers up to 100% of costs through a subsidised loan plus a non-repayable share for SMEs. Applications open at 9:00 on 13 October 2026, first come first served and before work starts.

With ALAconnect: complete network, datacenter, perimeter security, SIEM and monitoring projects, with technical specifications and quotes ready for the application and the bank approval.

Lombardy Region

2026 Lombardy grants for digitalisation and cybersecurity

Companies in Lombardy can combine Chamber of Commerce vouchers with national measures, starting with the Cloud & Cybersecurity Voucher.

01

Twin Transition Voucher Lombardy 2026

A call by Unioncamere Lombardia and the Lombardy Chambers of Commerce for micro, small and medium-sized companies. It covers 50% of costs for digital technologies, cybersecurity included, consulting and training, with a minimum investment of €4,000 and a maximum grant of €10,000, under the de minimis regime. Consulting and training must account for 30% to 70% of the total. The window opened on 28 July 2026 and remains open until each Chamber's funds run out.

With ALAconnect: balanced projects mixing technology and services, such as a security assessment, firewall and backup configuration and anti-phishing training for staff.

02

National measures for Lombardy companies

Companies based in Lombardy can also use the MIMIT Cloud & Cybersecurity Voucher, hyper-depreciation 2026-2028 and Nuova Sabatini, which allow larger projects than those covered by the Chamber voucher.

With ALAconnect: a single plan showing which costs to assign to each grant, avoiding double funding of the same item.

Lazio Region

2026 Lazio grant for SME digitalisation

The largest regional grant per company among those on this page.

01

SME Digitalisation Voucher 2026

A Lazio Region measure funded by the 2021-2027 ERDF programme and managed by Lazio Innova, with €15 million. It is open to SMEs with an operating site in Lazio and funds digital workplace, digital commerce, migration of applications and data to the cloud and stronger cybersecurity. The maximum grant is €50,000 for micro companies, €100,000 for small and €150,000 for medium-sized ones. The call has been open since 29 September 2026, with applications on GeCoWEB Plus and selection by ranking, with no click day. The closing date should be checked in the official text: some sources indicate the end of October.

With ALAconnect: migration to Microsoft 365 and the cloud, managed workstations, endpoint and network security, backup and business continuity, with a project written to score well in the ranking.

Veneto Region

2026 Veneto grants for digitalisation and cybersecurity

In Veneto, digitalisation vouchers are run by the individual Chambers of Commerce, with different windows per province.

01

Twin Transition Voucher 2026 - Treviso-Belluno Chamber of Commerce

A non-repayable grant of 50% of costs, up to €40,000, for 4.0 technologies, consulting and training on digital and ecological transition, for micro, small and medium-sized companies based in the provinces of Treviso and Belluno. Applications are submitted on ReStart from 8 July to 23 October 2026, and projects started from 1 January 2026 are eligible. The Chamber has announced that its budget limit has been reached: applications can still be sent until the closing date, but are funded only if resources become available.

With ALAconnect: cybersecurity and digitalisation projects for companies in Treviso and Belluno, to submit by 23 October or to prepare for the next edition.

02

Other Veneto Chambers of Commerce

The 2026 editions of the Chamber vouchers of Vicenza, Padua, Verona and Venice-Rovigo closed between June and September 2026. Until the next editions, Veneto companies can rely on the national measures: Cloud & Cybersecurity Voucher, hyper-depreciation, Nuova Sabatini and SIMEST AI.

With ALAconnect: a project ready in advance, so you can apply in the first days of the next window while funds are still available.

Liguria Region

2026 Liguria grants for business digitalisation

Ligurian calls have very short windows: it pays to have the project ready before they open.

01

Situation in October 2026

In October 2026 no regional or Chamber of Commerce IT calls are open in Liguria. The 2026 digitalisation call of the Liguria Region, managed through FILSE, had a window of a few days in May, while the Genoa Chamber of Commerce Twin Transition Voucher 2026 closed on 28 September 2026. Ligurian companies can use the national measures: Cloud & Cybersecurity Voucher from 10 November, hyper-depreciation, Nuova Sabatini and SIMEST AI.

With ALAconnect: spending plan and quotes prepared in advance, so as not to miss the next regional and Chamber windows, plus Cloud & Cybersecurity Voucher projects right now.

Aosta Valley

2026 Aosta Valley grants for business digitalisation

Aosta Valley digital measures come from the Chambre valdôtaine and the regional ERDF programme.

01

Situation in October 2026

The Chambre valdôtaine Twin Transition Voucher 2026 closed on 30 September 2026. The Region has included the "Voucher Digit VdA", with €1 million for the digitalisation of micro, small and medium-sized companies in Aosta Valley, in its 2021-2027 ERDF calendar, but opening dates have not yet been published. In the meantime the national measures apply.

With ALAconnect: assessment and a digitalisation and security project ready for the Voucher Digit VdA, plus work that can be funded right away with the Cloud & Cybersecurity Voucher and hyper-depreciation.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about digitalisation and cybersecurity grants

Short answers to the most common questions from SMEs planning to use 2026 grants.

Which grant is best for buying a firewall or a backup system?

For amounts up to around €40,000 the main reference is the MIMIT Cloud & Cybersecurity Voucher, which covers 50% up to €20,000. For larger investments it is worth considering hyper-depreciation 2026-2028, Nuova Sabatini and, in Piedmont and Lazio, the regional calls. ALAconnect checks the best combination for each case.

Can I use more than one grant for the same project?

Often yes, but with precise rules: some measures can be combined, such as Nuova Sabatini and hyper-depreciation, while others exclude double funding of the same cost. Before applying, a plan should assign each cost item to a single non-repayable grant, also checking de minimis limits.

Do I have to wait for approval before buying?

It depends on the call. Many regional measures, such as Finpiemonte's, require the application to be submitted before work starts. Hyper-depreciation, instead, applies to investments made within the eligible period. Buying before checking the call is the most common mistake and can cost you the grant.

Does ALAconnect submit the application for me?

ALAconnect handles the technical side: identifying solutions, the project, compliant quotes, delivery and documentation for reporting. The application belongs to the company, which usually submits it with the support of its accountant or advisor, with whom we work directly.

Do you also work with companies outside Piedmont?

Yes. ALAconnect is based in Piedmont but serves clients throughout Italy, from Lombardy to Veneto, from Liguria to Aosta Valley and Lazio: most services, such as managed cybersecurity, cloud, Microsoft 365 and monitoring, are delivered remotely, and on-site work is planned according to the project.

Do these grants also help with NIS2 and GDPR compliance?

Many measures required by NIS2 and GDPR, such as firewalls, backup, event monitoring and staff training, are eligible costs under cybersecurity grants. The grants do not fund compliance as such, but they can reduce the cost of the technical measures needed to achieve it.
